Hi everyone! It has been a long time...
Following with my selection of caricatures, I return to one of the most successful and amazing TV series of all time. It is Lost with all its weird, haunting and twisted stuff.
I present one of its best characters, one who once was a good, dreamer, sad, fearful, tender and pathetic man. He is John Locke...
I have said once, because if you follow the final season, you can notice he has become the opposite of who used to be!
Here is the new Locke with his particular style and pose.
This character is masterly played by the actor Terry O Quinn.
My tribute to the man and the character, in a funny way, of course.
This painting was made with the software Paintool SAI. 2010.
I wait for your comments.
I am back...Now, after a year of waiting I am able to share with you guys my work for the recently launched game Revenge of the Wounded Dragons. The plot and the environments are set in China. My job was to create and paint the backgrounds for the different levels of this game. I wanted to achieve the proper ambience and atmosphere through the painting.
This particular background was set in the first level...a chinese village. This level was divided in two parts in terms of time of the day...the first one during the morning and the second one during the afternoon.
I wanted to represent a typical landscape of mountains of China during the morning as a first part for the level.
Also, this painting is cyclic, because connects the beginning to the end, so could be repeated several times.
Finally, the background was painted in 3 or 4 layers to give it depth and parallaxing.
This painting was made with the software Photoshop. 2008.
My job was to create and paint the backgrounds for the different levels of this game. I wanted to achieve the proper ambience and atmosphere through the painting.
This particular background was set in a long level and had to show two kind of forests...at the beginning a pine forest and later a bamboo forest because of the progression of the game.
